A procrastinator’s list of goals for 2020
“Sometimes i’ll just start a sentence and i don’t even know where it’s going. I just hope i find it along the way”
— Michael Scott, S5
As a professional procrastinator, i like new beginnings because it gives a second, or thousand, chance at holding myself accountable for the thing i should be doing. So on this boring night, where i am giving myself a headache just trying to understand how to use wordpress, which as been recommended by many as an easy platform to use, i decided i would share my list of goals for the year. Now, keep in mind that if i do get the hang of using the website (which i hope i do because i’ve already paid for an entire year) you will probably see some of these things of my 2021 list because thats who i am as a person *insert clown face emoji* but thats a fight for future me so let’s just get into this list.
Oh and by the way; expect many random lists on this blog because you could say i have kind of an obsession with making lists LOL
- Start going to the gym/ work out more : now this one is something that is on everyone’s 2020 resolution list and no one seems to actually follow through with this commitment, but i whole heartedly intend to get a gym membership soon (i’m thinking march, because right now a girl as bills to pay). I have always loved going to the gym but unfortunately the gym i used to go to closed down in November of 2019 so i’ve been on the look out to get another *cheap* gym membership.
- Start a blog : I mean, im here so yay me? LOL i just want to have a platform to share my undated opinions and my thoughts. Also this is another way of procrastinating the things i really should be doing like writing, following my deadlines, reading sequels and writing this darn papers.
- Finish my WIP (work in progress): so i’m a writer, if you didn’t know, I’ve been writing stories and creating characters for as long as i can remember but lately, in the past 3 years, i’ve been taking my writing more seriously, meaning i would actually like to make a living out of it one day *fingers crossed*. I have many WIPS but one of them is a project i keep really close to my heart and i would really LOVE to finish writing and editing it in 2020.
- Drink more water and have healthier eating habits: now this one is a hard one for me because i LOVE food. Pasta, pizza, fries, chocolate, burgers, cheese. I just love food, i love to cook and i love to eat but lately i have been gaining a few undated pounds due to my late night unhealthy snacks so i’ve been trying to cut back on the carbs and the junk food and it has been a challenge to say the least but i’m doing it!
- read 120 books: in 2019 i read a total of 103 books which was 3 more then intended and this year i have decided to set my Goodreads challenge (which you can follow, link down below) to 120 books. It does seem like a lot but since i have started a new job where i work many night shifts i get some extra reading time right there!
- Visit some bookish places: I love traveling so of course i would love to visit some new places in 2020. both 2018 and 2019 were years of change where I did many awesome things like; graduating from college, worked different jobs, moved MANY times, etc. so unfortunately i didn’t have the finances or the time to travel much during those years but for 2020 there are some amazing place i have planned to visits. Hopefully i’ll get to share them with you on this platform 🙂
- Finally, for 2020 i want to cut negativity out of my life. the past few years and even the past few weeks have been filled with negativity and traumatic experiences. I consider myself extremely lucky for the support system i have because they have helped me through SO much, i honestly don’t know where i’d be without them! so 2020 is the year i finally remove myself from negative relationships, no matter how hard it will be, i know it’s all for the best!
Let me know some of your goals for the upcoming years! do we have some goals in common? How do you plan on achieving these goals? Let’s discuss in the comments 🙂
