WONDROUS WINTER ❄️BOOKTAG❄️

Hello everyone, i hope you are all doing fantastic! I’m currently taking a break from studying for my finals, high on coffee and lack of sleep to take part in this cute and fun original booktag Victoria created over on Booktube! Victoria is an absolute cutie and I highly suggest you check out her Booktube channel which will all be linked down below. Now, without further do, let’s get into the Wondrous Winter Booktag.

The Questions;

Rudolph the Red – Nosed Reindeer – Choose a book that you looked down upon until you realized what a fool you were!
- The diviners by Libba Bray. I never really looked down on this book but I have never in a hurry to pick it up despite owning a physical copy for the past two years. Well, I finally picked it up on a whim and finished it in two days and I LOVE IT! What a fool I was for waiting for such a long time before reading this beautiful masterpiece.
Frozen – Choose a book with your favourite sibling relationship!
- For this one, I had many answers I could have given but decided to go with Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert from Anne of Green Gables. I have such a special place in my heart for the story of Anne of Green Gables and the sibling relationship in the book is so dear and precious I had to mention it.
Frosty the Snowman – What book did you experience coming to life in your head for the first time?
- This one took me a while to figure out, I did a lot of thinking and finally cam to the conclusion that one of the first book i vividly remember reading and experiencing coming to life in my head was thinner by Stephen King…. I remember reading this when I was really young (maybe 9 years old) after finding an old copy at the family’s cottage and reading some of it out of boredom and BOY was I creeped out and paranoid after reading a few chapters… Anyway I don’t recommend if you are a child LOL!
Cool Runnings – Choose a book where the characters are in a competition.
1. The first book that came to mind with this prompt is Where Dreams Descend by Janella Angeles. So excited for book two!!!
Home Alone – Choose a book you read that had no fandom and you felt like you were Home Alone!
- The Storm Crow by Kalyn Josephson is such a good fantasy book but I feel like no one is talking about it! I wish more people were discussing it so we could make it famous and have merch because I would buy it all.
Happy Feet – Choose a book whose title was so misleading you now have trust issues.
- I don’t really have an answer for this one so instead i’m gonna pick a book I liked but hated the title because of how cheesy and cringe worthy it sounds; OCD Love Story by Corey Ann Haydu.
Elf – Choose a book character you think is a cotton-headed ninny muggin!
- For this one, I have to go with Anna from Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. She is one of the most annoying characters i have read about in a book. I know many people like this book but I cannot relate whatsoever. it’s definitely in my top three of worst book ever read.
Chronicles of Narnia – Choose a book with a character as self-sacrificing as Aslam!
- I think there’s only one good answer for this question and it has to be Peeta Mellark from The Hunger Games! This man was willing to get his ass whoop just so Katniss could have a piece of toast for dinner, we stan!
The Last Holiday – Choose a book that made you feel like you were going to die!
- Dry by Neal Shusterman gave me so much anxiety. A book about the world running out of water had me so self conscious about the way I utilize water and SO THIRSTY… Sa great read, but i’m never reading it again.
Happiest Season – Choose a book with your favourite sapphic couple.
- For this one, I have to pick a graphic novel i’ve just recently read; Mooncakes by Suzanne Walker. I can’t even put into words how much I adored this story! It had everything I wanted in a book; Sapphics, magic, witches and beautiful art!

Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer – Choose a book you’d like to run over with a reindeer!
- If I could run over a book with a reindeer, it would definitely be Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare for all the pain it caused me… I loved it.
Rent – Choose a book that made you want to sing!
- The entirety of the To all the Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy by Jenny Han was just so lovely and warm all around, even if it dealt with sensitive subject, the series overall was just so beautiful and so fun to read it made me want to sing and dance.
The Grinch Who Stole Christmas – Choose a book character that made you lose faith in humanity!
- Can I just pick an author for this one and pick J.K. Rowling?
Ice Age – Choose a book that turned you into Scrat with his acorn, obsessive to the point of concern…
- I’m gonna have to go with Spin The Dawn by Elizabeth Lim seeing that I was once retweeted by the author after tweeting that I would willingly give my soul to the devil in exchange of a signed ARC of the sequel….
Anastasia – Choose a book (or even a scene from a book) that gives you once upon a December vibes.
- I have never seen this movie so I am not 100% sure I understand the prompt so i’ll just pick a book that gives me winter vibes and fro that I have chosen What Light by Jay Asher. The story of a girl who lives on a Christmas three farm during winter time.
