ANTI TBR TAG

Hello everyone and happy Saturday! I’ve skipped a few uploads due to my workload being a little overwhelming and needing time away from my computer screen but I am back!! Today I am doing the ANTI TBR TAG that was created by Nicole. Nicole’s original video for the book tag will be linked down below as a well as the five person I am tagging to do this. Without further do, let’s get to the questions!

Oh, also, I wasn’t tagged by anyone to do this tag

•QUESTIONS•

1. A popular book EVERYONE loves that you have no interest in reading?

  • For this one, i picked a book I keep seeing every where on social medias and one a lot of my irl mutuals have read and loved and it is none other than “Girl, Wash Your Face” by Rachel Hollis. I just don’t have any interest in reading this book, it’s not a genre I usually read and I don’t think it has anything to offer that I would enjoy.

2. A classic book (or author) you don’t have an interest in reading?

  • A classic book I have no interest in reading would be “The catcher in the Rye” by J.D. Salinger. I honestly don’t even know what this book is about, I just don’t see myself ever picking it up. I have other books i’m more excited to read and this one is not one I have any interest in.

3. An author whose books you have no interest in reading?

  • For this one, I am going with J.R.R Tolkien. I know he is a lot of people’s favourite author but I just have zero interest in picking up his books for no reason other than they are not appealing to me at all.

3.2 A problematic author whose books you have no interest in reading?

  • For this one, I’ve picked an author I’ve already read books from but after problematic behaviours and things were said, I decided I was no longer going to support that author and that author is of course no other than the harry potter author: J.K.R.

4. An author you have read a couple of books from & have decided their books are th not for you?

  • An author i’ve read a book from but never finished the series nor would I be interested in picking up more of their books is Veronica Roth, author of the “Divergence” series. I read the first book “Divergent” when it came out and wasn’t interested enough to keep on reading the series. The writing just wasn’t it for me and I have no interest in picking up any other books this author has published.

5. A genre you have no interest in OR a genre you tried to get into & couldn’t?

  • in general, I tend to to not be super interested in anything science-fiction. Not to say I would never read science-fiction books but they simply aren’t my favourite genre to read.

6. A book you have bought but will never read? (this can be a book you have unhauled/returned to the library unread)

  • A book i’ve recently unhauled was “The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue” by Mackenzie Lee. I read it when it came out and did not enjoy it so I don’t see any use to keeping it when someone else out there could be enjoying it so I am getting rid of my copy.

7. A series you have no interest in reading OR a series you started & have dnf’d?

  • A trilogy I started when I first got involved in the book community but will never finish reading has to be the “Anna and The French Kiss” trilogy by Stephanie Perkins. I hated with a passion “Anna and the French Kiss” and have zero interest or time to pick up the rest of the trilogy. I might be interested in picked up newer releases by this author in the future.

8. A new release you have no interest in reading?

  • For this one I don’t have an answer. Of course, I have books I am highly anticipating their releases for, but there is no books coming out this year that I am set on not wanting to read at all.

So that is for this tag, thank you so much for reading, as per usual, feel free to share and subscribe to my blog.

  1. I’ve always said Tolkien is a much better linguist than writer 😛
