Hi friends!!! How are you ??? It's been a minute or two since we've last spoken fiewwwww 🥵 I have a few things I want to say before we get into the books I plan on reading before the year ends so yeah, let's get to the nitty gritty. First thing first, where have I been ? Last time we spoke I was in college, since then, i've graduated and started a new job that I really enjoy. Working an office job means I spend a lot of time reading documents, typing on a computer and staring at a computer screen in general which has been affecting the amount of time I want to spend on my computer when I get home - which is none lmao. I've been slacking on writing, not only for my blog but also for my wip, which until recently had been collecting dusts in my google docs. Now thanks to a new group of writers i've met, i've been consistently writing everyday for almost two weeks, wooohoo (super proud of myself)! More writing also means less time for reading which is another reason I haven't blogging as much, I've read very little theses past fews months compared to what I usually read so overall I felt like I had nothing to talk about book-wise. Because of all of that, reading less, being away from social medias etc, I've been second guessing my place in the book community, feeling I don't belong within the community as much as I once did. It may be perhaps because i've outgrown the YA genre and have been reading more of other genres or because i've been in the community for so long, when it was still a very small community that has grown a lot over the past two years, and now i'm feeling a bit lost amongst all the new people that have joined. All of this, plus the time i've taken away from the community in general has allowed me to discover new things I love and am passionate about. Just as I am and will forever be passionate about books and reading, I want to spend more time and energy doing other things I also enjoy. So moving forward now, in hopes of being more active on my blog, I will be expanding the things I talk about on here to not only books and writing but also beauty products, makeup, crystals, gaming, journaling and other things I am passionate about. I hope this all makes sense and that you all will continue to follow along this journey of self discovery and self acceptance. Rest assured, bookish content is here to stay, it is only going to be mixed in with some other subjects then and again.
THE BOOKS
I've come up with a list of 15 books I wish to read before the end of 2021, these are in no particular order and most are books I own on my physical TBR. I had a goal of reading 100 books this year but since i've only read 44 books thus far, adding another 15 books would potentially make it possible for me to reach 60 books read before the end of 2021. Wish me luck!
