reading & writing goals for 2022 + a little celebration 🖤

Hello everyone and welcome to today’s post where I will be discussing my 2022 writing and reading goals!

I am so excited for my reading and especially my writing goals for the new year but before we get into that – a special mention – It’s my blog anniversary!!!!

7LateNightThoughtsWithZoe turned two today 🎉Time went by so fast, I can’t believe it’s been two years already! Anyway, I’m not gonna make a big sappy post about how grateful I am for everyone reading this blog because I already did last year hehe, but thank you to everyone who has been supporting me through this journey, it means the world to me.

Now, without further ado, let’s get to my 2022 reading and writing goals 🖤

Reading goals

Number of books I want to read – 24 books (2 per month)

A genre I want to read more of – non fiction text book type of books (there’s so much I want to learn and I’ve gotten so many text books from a flea market last summer).

A book that’s coming out in 2022 that I cannot wait for – Saga chapter 55!!!!!!! Brian K. Vaughan is finally back with new issues of saga starting January 26th and I could not be happier!!

A series I want to finish in 2022 – The Lunar Chronicles. I loved the first two books but never picked up the rest of the series… Hopefully 2022 will be the year I do so!

A book I meant to read in 2021 but didn’t get to so I’m hoping I’ll get to it in 2022 – Ember Queen by Laura Sebastian, third book in the Ash Princess trilogy.

Writing goals

For my Blog – I’d like to get back into the groove of posting at least once a week. Blogging is something I really enjoy doing and unfortunately, I end up putting it at the very end of my to do list because, like I’ve mentioned before, other things such as working, making money to pay my bills, daily house chores etc. must come first and after a day of working on my computer at my day job, I don’t always want to sit down and work on my computer when I get home. I am hoping to come up with a routine of pre writing a bunch of posts at least once a month and programing them for scheduling in advance.

for my personal writing – For 2022 I am taking part in a very exciting challenge with a few writer friends where we will all be attempting to write 365K for 2022 or 1000 words per day. So far I am below my goal 🤷‍♀️but at least I am trying and I am participating! I know I most likely won’t reach my goal because realistically I do not have the time to write everyday but I’m hoping I can at least get my first draft of my WIP done and complete.

To all my subscribers; Thank you for your support and your continuous love, you mean the world to me.

ps; I will be posting different days and at different times for the next few weeks as i'm trying to see which day / what time has better traffic..
