Series i’ve never finished (and actually want to at some point and time)

Hello everyone and happy Saturday! I hope everyone is taking care of themselves, reading good books and drinking their water! For this week’s post I will be talking about some of the series i’ve started but never finished reading and that I actually do plan on finishing eventually.

* some of these are trilogies but they still counts as series right ?

The Lunar Chronicles

Marissa Meyer

I’ve read both Cinder and Scarlet and loved both of them – honestly 5 stars each – but for some reasons I’ve never continued on with the series although I know it could easily be one of my all time favourite series. I’m hoping 2022 is the year I can read the rest of the books.

The Diviners

Libba Bray

The Diviners by Libba Bray is a series i have had my eye on ever since joining the book community and hearing how everyone loved the ambiance and writing of these books. I did read the first book and enjoyed it however I don’t think I was in the right headspace at the moment to fully enjoying. I plan on re reading the first one and hopefully reading the entire series sometime this year or next year.

Renegades

Marissa Meyer

Another Marissa Meyer! Honestly, I don’t know why I haven’t finished this series, I read the first one, fell completely in love with it, bought the second one the minute I had finished the first one then never continued on. I plan on rereading the first one and then reading archenemies and supernova this summer.

The Raven Boys

Maggie Stiefvater

This is another series I bought when I first joined the book community, I remember the first 2 books were out and everyone was talking about them so of course I got the first book, read it and, like everyone else, I enjoyed my time reading it but for some unknow reason, never continued on with the series. I do own the first 3 books and would like to read them either this year of in 2023. Out of all the series on this list, this is the one I might change my mind and unhaul at some point. I would like to read them but there are so many other books I would much rather read that these might just be removed from my TBR. But for now, I am keeping them in hopes of eventually reading them.

An Ember in the Ashes

Sabaa Tahir

This is another series I started reading when I wasn’t completely in the right headspace for. I read the first one a few years ago and although i did enjoy my time reading it, I didn’t care for it enough to get to the second book. I know this is a series highly loved in the book community which is why I would like to reread it and hopefully like it enough to read the entire series.

The Last Magician

Lisa Maxwell

This one is just matter of not having taken the time to read the final installment in the trilogy. I have had the book ever since it came out and have been wanting to read it ever since but this is such a massive book with an intriguing magic system involving time traveling and intricate character I want to make sure I am 100% involved when I do read it because I don’t want to miss anything. I am highly certain that this will be my favourite trilogy of all time once I am done reading it.

Daughter of smoke and bones

Laini Taylor

This is a series I read with a friend maybe 2 years ago. Although we no longer speak, this person and I had a shared love of Laini Taylor and especially Daughter of Smoke and Bone. I read the first two books after she had recommended many times I should pick them up and I completely fell in love with the world, the writing and the characters. For some reason, i never got to reading the last one and I am debating whether I should reread the first two books again before getting to the last one or if I should simply dive in Dreams of Gods and Monsters. Nonetheless, finishing this series is on my list for 2022.

Let me know what you think of these books down below!

One response to “Series i’ve never finished (and actually want to at some point and time)”

  1. Series seem to be mostly trilogies, it seems. Series take up most of my fantasy reading

Well, there are some series I still need to start or continue
