Buckle up friends, I have a very exciting and impromptu post to share today! Okay, it might not be that exciting to anyone but myself but I’m still going to talk about it – I went to the dollar store a few days ago, not looking for anything specific (you don’t go to the dollar store looking for something, you go to the dollar store and the dollar store will tell you what you need right?) Anyway, I stumbled upon so many romance books, all under the cheap price of $3 so of course, I grabbed most of them, right on time to plan my summer TBR! Let’s talk about the books.
First of all, I absolutely adore this cover, the yellow background is giving me happy-summer-feel good vibes. I am a sucker for love stories that have food topics somehow included in the story and this one follows two chefs. Out of all the books I picked up, this one is the one I am the most excited for!
Beth & Amy is a retelling of Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. I have read Little Women two years ago but I honestly don’t remember much from it (shame on me, I know). I know it is a favourite of many people so I might try and reread Little Women before getting to that one. What drew me in is the cover, I think it is absolutely adorable, probably very typical love story but I am nonetheless to dive into this story on a hot summer day.
If I’m being honest, I didn’t even look up what The Wangs Vs. the World is about. Based on the cover alone I am assuming it is either about a road trip or moving to a different town/country which sounds like a book filled with disaster, being stuck in a car with your family or significant other is the number one ingredient for fights and arguments and I am down to read about that, let’s hope it doesn’t disappoint!
I also don’t know what Head Over Heels is about. I did not read the synopsis on the back nor did I look it up on goodreads. I purely and simply picked it up because of the cover. There’s something about bright yellow covers in romance and romcoms that instantly draws me in. I think this cover is super cute and I’m exited to see what the story is all about.
This one sounds interesting tis the only one I almost left behind, I’m not sure what the story is about but the cover itself isn’t my favourite one, I was going to leave it behind but then remembered it was only $2 so if I end up not reading it or not liking it then it’s whatever. Since I did purchase it I am going to include it on my summer TBR, we’ll see if end up getting to it.
The Boy Toy is the only book out of all the books I got that I had heard about prior to buying it. I still have no idea what it is about but I have heard people saying it is a book to read if you love romance so of course I’m exited to pick it up!
