Hello everyone and welcome to my last post of 2022 – let’s pretend like i scheduled this post correctly and it went out Friday the 30th like it was supposed to! – Yep, another year has come and gone, christmas is over and now is time for new year’s resolutions and counting down the days until summer. I hope the holiday season was kind to those who celebrated and you all ate yummy foods and took care of yourselves despite how stressful the holidays can be. My christmas was pretty chill although I am glad it is finally over, the holidays is always a hectic time where we try to see everyone we know within the span of two days and i am more than grateful to now spend the next few days sitting on my couch with absolutely nothing to do expect for playing Pokemon Scarlet, read and sleep! With that being said, I did get some new books this christmas season (thank you to my friends and family, ily) so let’s talk about them!

The books

Saga Vol. 10 by Brian K. Vaughan
My partner bought me this book and I was so happy when I received it! Saga is one of my absolute favourite book series ever and the wait time between volume 9 and volume 10 was excruciating. When the author finally announced the release of volume 10 I screamed so loud only dogs could hear me.
Every year I reread the series in its entirety and I am so excited to read it again in 2023 but to finally move past the cliff hanger that is at the end of volume 9! Perhaps I’ll write a blog post about my yearly reread …👀
Moonology; Working with the Magic of Lunar Cycles by Yasmin Boland
If you know me IRL then you know how obsessed i have always been with the moon. I’m definitely the ‘look at the moon rn’ friend who will force you to look at the moon at any given moment and then proceed to explain to you what phase the moon is in currently and give you a bunch of facts about the moon that you absolutely did not ask for.
I am so excited to read this book, it most likely will be one of my first read of the year and hopefully it lives up to my expectation for it.

The next three books are all part of a series called ‘Elements’ and are written by different authors who specialize int he subject matter. I believe there are a few more books in this series and if I end up enjoying these books – which i think I will – I’ll definitely be on the look out for the rest of the series!
Also, the editions I got are different from the ones pictured and I honestly like the ones I have more than the pictures I found on Goodreads.

The essential Book of Wicca; Powerful Practices from the Magical Craft by Marie Bruce
The Essential Book of Celtic Spells; Magical Ways of Power by Marie Bruce

The Essential Book of Aztec Wisdom; Timeless Everyday Healing Techniques by Suzanne Edwards
And finally, a gift card to Indigo!! What books should i get ? Tell me about your favourite books of 2022 or your most anticipated books of the upcoming year in the comments!
Keep your eyes peeled for a book haul coming soon! (as soon as I go a road trip to the bookstore(yes road trip, the closest Indigo is almost 3 hours away from me)).

Special mention to this beautiful book mark I also receive for christmas! It will definitely be following me on my 2023 reading journey as i have been using old receipts, post-it notes or (SORRY) dog-earing the pages of my books lately…

To all my subscribers; Thank you for your support and your continuous love, you mean the world to me. ps; I will be posting different days and at different times for the next few weeks as i'm trying to see which day / what time has better traffic..
