2023 goals

Reading goals

My number one goal for 2023 is to find the passion and love I had for books a few years ago. When I first joined the book community in 2015 or 2016, there were so many great series coming out, so many booktubers, bloggers and book reviewers I was looking up to and I was always on the look out for the next great book. Unfortunately, as time went on, the book community turned into something completely different. With new drama coming out faster than books, I quickly became uninterested in the newer version that was the book community, and with that, I slowly became less and less interested in the world of books. I’ve never stopped reading but I wasn’t as passionate and enamored with books as I once was and I want to reconnect with that part of myself.

The second goal I have for myself as part of my reading goals is to read 100 books. Last year I read 49 books whilst my goal was 24. I have a lot of books i want to re-read and series I want to actually finish this year, I think 100 is an achievable goal for 2023.

Blog goals

I’m feeling super motivated for what’s to come for my blog for 2023, in the last quarter of 2022 I had the chance of working more closely with authors and publishers for book reviews and such and it gave me the motivation and inspiration I needed to pick up my blog again.

  • One post a week (oops I missed last week…)
  • Incorporate more book reviews and ARC reviews
  • Give my website a fresh face with new tabs
  • Get the traffic I once had back and better my statistics

Personal goals

In my personal life I have a lot of goals and plans for 2023 but I’m positive I can achieve them. I’m including them on this list because for me, writing them down makes them real and also hold me accountable for them. It’s a way for me to come back in the future and see which ones I’ve achieved and which ones I need to keep working harder on.

  • Workout at least 3 times a week – we getting snatched this year
  • Save a whole lot of money – 2024 is the year I travel the world
  • Consume less – we, as humans, buy a lot of useless sh!t all the time and spend a lot of money especially on fast fashion, in 2023 I’d like to be more conscious about where and how I’m spending my money.
  • GET TATTED!!! – Another reason I’ll be saving my money is so I can spend it towards tattoos! I already have many tattoos but I just want more, until I’m fully covered!
  • Learn herbology – I’ve always been interested in it so why not learn it this year!

To all my subscribers; Thank you for your support and your continuous love, you mean the world to me.

ps; I will be posting different days and at different times for the next few weeks as i'm trying to see which day / what time has better traffic..
