Hello readers and welcome to today’s post – the ten last book tag! I was tagged to do this by my friend Chanelle so make sure you check out and subscribe to her blog. The original tag was created by Marc Nash over on youtube. this seems like an extremely fun tag and I cannot wait to get into the questions so here we go;
The Last Book I Gave Up On : A Shadow Bright And Burning by Jessica Cluess
We’re starting this book tag on a rocky start, I had to go down my goodreads to find a book for this prompt. I don’t DNF books often mostly because I know what kind of books i like and i don’t pick up much outside of my reading comfort zone and also because i’ve stopped pressuring myself to read only the popular books everyone in the community loves, I pick up what intrigues me and what I actually want to read. Anyway, I was expecting a lot more from this book because of reviews I had read but when I picked it up for a buddy read with my friend Kevin, we both lowkey forgot about it and both had lower ratings for it for the same reasons.

The Last Book I Re-read : The Invisible Life of Addie Larue by Victoria Schwab
I’ve read this book like four times since it’s been published. I love it with all my heart and will be re-reading it soon, there’s nothing else to add LOL

The Last Book I Bought : a few….
A few weeks ago I went book shopping for the first time in a long time (thank you miss rona) and bought these four books pictures down below. First I got Outlawed by Anna North after hearing it was a sapphic historical novel, historical novels aren’t usually my go-to when buying books but there is something about this one that calls to me, hopefully I like it. Then I bought Monstress Vol. 2 by Marjorie Liu and Sana Takeda. I’ve been craving a good graphic novel series after being done with my reread of Saga and since I had already read and loved Vol. 1 of the monstress series I figured I should continue on with the series. Then I bought a book mostly based on the cover; Gods of Jade and Shadows by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. When i saw this cover and the title of this book I knew I had to buy it then after reading the premise I was sold on it immediately, out of all the books in this haul, this is the one I am most excited about, hopefully it doesn’t disappoint. Then finally, after many of my friends were raving about this series and the famous chapter 21, I had no choice but to get myself a copy of The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang. The hype for this book is way up there and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little bit intimidated by how many 5 star reviews it’s been getting but i’m positive i’m gonna enjoy it as much as some of my closest friends did.

The Last Book I Wrote in the Margins Of : The Stolen Kingdom by Jillian Boehme
I’ve been currently reading this as an ARC I have received from netgalley and taking notes for a review I will be posting in the near future so this is the book I am choosing for this prompt. (also can we just acknowledge how pretty this cover is!?)

The Last Book That I Had Signed : Chain of Iron by Cassandra Clare
I don’t know if this work for this prompt but since I live in the middle of nowhere, where there are no author events and we are in the middle of a panini, I haven’t gotten any books personally signed by authors but I did recently buy this special edition of Chain of Iron which was signed by the author and let me just say, even though it was expensive, it is absolutely gorgeous and looks like a goddess on my shadowhunter’s shelf.

The Last Book I Lost : Maybe You Should Talk to Someone by Lori Gottlieb
Now this is no surprise, I’ve loved this book and have been recommending it to everyone around me since i’ve read it so naturally, someone close to me decided to finally pick it up and borrowed my copy. No worries, I got it back in perfect condition after that person read it and loved it as much as I did.

The Last Book I Argued Over : Ruins and Rising by Leigh Bardugo
This wasn’t really an argument, not one that I was involved with at least. I was on facetime with two friends I have met on book twitter and I was watching (like that michael jackson gif that sits there and eat popcorn) as one of my friend was getting the other one to believe a character named Stephen existed in this book… When in reality there are no characters with that name in the grishaverse world 😂😂

The Last Book I Couldn’t Get a Hold of: The Invisible life of Addie Larue
When I went to the bookstore a few weeks ago, I went in with full intention to only buy one book; The invisible Life of Addie Larue by Victoria Schwab. Unfortunately, they were out of stock and my plan to only buy this one book were thrown out of the window so I ended up buying the four books listed above.

That is it for today’s post! I’m tagging – Victoria, Emy and Val – do this tag!!
Thank you so much for reading and until next time, xoxo
